Helen Irving currently serves as the President & CEO of LiveOnNY, the federally designated organ procurement organization for New York City, Long Island and the Hudson Valley. Helen’s career began as a critical care nurse and hopes to be able to leverage her more than 30 years of clinical, administrative, and business expertise to support the important work of the National Cancer Center. Helen has a personal interest in translational medicine and improving access to novel treatments for oncology patients and eliminate social disparities in the healthcare setting.
Prior to joining LiveOnNY, Helen served as VP of Hospital Operations for five years at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, supervising solid organ transplantation, dialysis, endoscopy, hemophilia, bone marrow transplantation, clinical laboratories, and bed management.
Irving, a native of England, has lived in New York for over 25 years. She holds an M.B.A. in Health Care Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and sits on the boards of the New York State Hemophilia Consortium, the Medical Advisory Board for NYIT and Donate Life New York State.
