Michelle Stack has joined National Cancer Center as our new Chief Executive Officer.
Michelle succeeds Regina English, our esteemed longtime Executive Director, who has retired after serving National Cancer Center for over 35 years. Michelle has a long and successful career working with respected national non-profits. Her innovative strategies have brought in new revenue and increased awareness. Prior to working in the non-profit sector, Michelle held corporate leadership positions with world class companies including Estee Lauder and LVMH. Her Marketing expertise and business acumen have provided tremendous value. Michelle attended the University of Michigan and holds a full scholarship Master’s degree from The University of Illinois.
Board member Patrick Nasr has been promoted to Senior Vice President at Blackstone.
Patrick was promoted to Senior Vice President at Blackstone where he has served as a Vice President for over two years. Prior to Blackstone he was CFO at Stonehaven LLC and held financial leadership roles at Apollo Global, Morgan Stanley and Deloitte. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego. Patrick speaks three languages and is an advisor for the Arab American Family Support Center that provides culturally and linguistically sensitive services to immigrant and refugee families. Patrick has utilized his strong fiscal and accounting expertise in his career as well as in his support of the work of non-profits in his community.
Staff member Kris DiSanti has been promoted to Director of Programs and Operations.
Kris DiSanti has dedicated 23 years to NCC as Program Administrator and Assistant to the Executive Director. Kris joined NCC in 2001, after losing her father to this horrific disease. Kris oversees the annual grant application process, working closely with the Scientific Advisory Board in awarding grants to researchers nationwide. Before joining NCC, she worked at BancBoston Financial in NY and then as legal assistant to the senior founding partner at Macri, Greenspan & Moramarco. Her experience includes work in commercial litigation, preparation of partnership and operating agreements and wills, along with global patent content and creation while working alongside Macri at NTD Laboratories, a prenatal screening biotech lab. Kris holds a Bachelor’s from Dowling College.
