February is National Cancer Prevention Month!

Here are just a few prevention tips:

Watch what you eat and drink! Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, whole grain cereals, breads, rice, pasta and beans. Maintain a healthy weight. If you drink alcoholic beverages, do so moderately. And, of course, don’t smoke!

Be physically active. Exercise! Be moderately active for 30 minutes a day.

Protect your skin. To reduce the risk of skin cancer, use sunscreen all year round, wear protective clothing and hats. When outside avoid too much intense direct sunlight.
