Career healthcare administrator will tap extensive knowledge and deep network to advance mission

The National Cancer Center, which funds promising cancer research and provides education about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Helen Irving, RN, MBA to its Board of Directors, bringing the total number of board members to seven.

“Helen’s extensive network in the healthcare sector will significantly help expand NCC’s outreach to the national cancer research community,” said Regina English, Executive Director of NCC.  “As a member of our Marketing and Communications Committee, she will spearhead communications with Cancer Centers of Excellence across the country to increase their awareness of NCC’s grant programs for post-doctoral researchers.”

“It’s a privilege to join NCC and help advance the vital research agendas of our clinical researchers as they search for new modalities of treatments and potential cures for cancer that will benefit society as a whole,” Ms. Irving said.
